Το μεγαλύτερο διεθνές φεστιβάλ ψηφιακών τεχνών και νέων μέσων στην Ελλάδα, το Athens Video Art Festival, σε καλεί να συμμετάσχεις και να παρουσιάσεις το έργο σου για στην 6η διοργάνωση η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 7-9 Μαΐου 2010 στην "Τεχνόπολις" του Δήμου Αθηναίων και θα συνεχιστεί με την προγραμματισμένη  περιοδεία του στην περιφέρεια (Μάιος - Σεπτέμβριος 2010).

Το Athens Video Art Festival είναι το επίσημο φεστιβάλ της Ελλάδας στον τομέα της video art, ενώ φροντίζει συγχρόνως να καλύπτει τις απαιτήσεις ανθρώπων από όλο το φάσμα της δημιουργίας. Μέσα από την πολύπλευρη δράση του, το Athens Video Art Festival αποτελεί τοπίο προώθησης και συνδετικό κρίκο ανάμεσα στους δημιουργούς και τις διοργανώσεις, τόσο εντός όσο και εκτός Ελλάδας.
Κάθε χρόνο το Athens Video Art Festival εξελίσσεται, εμπλουτίζεται και θέτει νέους στόχους ανεβάζοντας τον πήχη ψηλότερα, αναδεικνύει τον ακαδημαϊκό του χαρακτήρα και τον ενισχύει μέσω σημαντικών αφιερωμάτων και συνεργασιών, προσφέρει  κίνητρα για δημιουργία στην καλλιτεχνική κοινότητα, παρουσιάζει τις τελευταίες διεθνείς εξελίξεις στον τομέα των ψηφιακών μέσων και τις επικοινωνεί με το ευρύ κοινό. Στόχος παραμένει η έκφραση, μέσα από ένα πολυδιάστατο και πολυσυλλεκτικό καλλιτεχνικό γεγονός ανοιχτό σε κάθε έκφραση της ψηφιακής δημιουργίας.

Δυνατότητα Επιλογής: Με το "FEEL FREE TO FEEL GREEN" ως αφετηρία έμπνευσης, το Athens Video Art Festival φέτος θα παρουσιάσει έργα που θα αφορούν στην ευρύτερη σχέση του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου με τη φύση. 
Με σεβασμό στην εικαστική δημιουργία αλλά και στα μεγάλα οικολογικά και περιβαλλοντικά ζητήματα της εποχής μας, το Athens Video Art Festival 2010 καλεί τους σύγχρονους καλλιτέχνες να εμπνευστούν, να προβληματιστούν και να δημιουργήσουν έργα καταθέτοντας την δική τους ξεχωριστή άποψη πάνω στο θέμα. Με στόχο τη μέγιστη κινητοποίηση και ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού στην ενεργό δράση σε περιβαλλοντολογικά ζητήματα, τα eco sensitive έργα όλων των κατηγοριών του AVAF συναντιούνται φέτος σε ένα ξεχωριστό τριήμερο πρόγραμμα και απευθύνονται σε ένα ευρύ κοινό, ανοικτό σε ερεθίσματα και εξοικειωμένο με τα νέα μέσα. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο και με όχημα τις νέες μορφές ψηφιακών τεχνών, επιχειρούμε να τονώσουμε την σύγχρονη αντίληψη του κοινού σε ζητήματα οικολογικής ευαισθησίας. (Η θεματική αυτή είναι προαιρετική)

Optional Thematic: With "Feel Free to Feel Green" as a starting point, Athens Video Art Festival will present art works that investigate the relationship between the modern human and the environment. With respect to visual creation as well as the important ecological and environmental issues of our times, Athens Video Art Festival invites contemporary artists create works and inspire, submitting their own views on these matters.

With the goal of public awareness and action involving environmental issues, the eco-sensitive works of all the categories of Athens Video Art Festival will meet in a special three day event and address a wide public, open to stimulation and interested in new media. This way, and with the new forms of digital arts as a vehicle, we aim to enforce the modern conception of the pubic in matters of ecological sensitivity. (This thematic is optional)
